The Caspian-Black Sea transshipment corridor is one of the strategically important export routes for the Caspian oil. The corridor features a variety of networked marine terminal facilities on the shores of the Caspian and the Black Seas interconnected by railway system thus allowing customers to deliver their hydrocarbons to the Black Sea or to the BTC system, for further re-delivery to the variety of international markets.
The corridor has proved to be a competitive, reliable and flexible logistics solution for its customers. Caspian region is seen among key hydrocarbon suppliers and associated with several major existing and upcoming oil projects, which development requires existence of viable and stable export options. There is a number of the infrastructure development projects launched within the Caspian-Black Sea transshipment corridor to improve and widen range of provided service, raise the standards and introduce best industry practices, while increasing its available capacity.
